In 2024, our commitment to Operational Excellence remained central to everything we do. By prioritising efficiency, innovation, and collaboration, we enhanced operations across all business units. Through targeted initiatives, technological advancements, and process improvements, we strengthened our ability to deliver smarter, safer, and more reliable logistics solutions.
Enhancing Customer Satisfaction
Enhancing customer satisfaction remains at the core of our operational excellence journey. In 2024, we strengthened partnerships, embraced advanced technologies, and received industry recognition for quality, safety, and sustainability.
SMART Telematics
with order details, enabling country teams to take timely action and ensure deliveries meet customer expectations. Additionally, the Liquid Food team introduced 150 new insulated smart tank containers equipped with advanced Track & Trace systems, reducing heating requirements and lowering both costs and emissions.
Technology also played a pivotal role. Significant progress was made in leveraging tank telematics to manage temperature-sensitive business flows proactively. With almost 2,500 tanks now fitted with
SMART telematics, teams can access real-time data via Transfusion, including the last tank location and temperature. A dedicated dashboard links tank data

Our commitment to service excellence was further recognised through prestigious awards. Dow Chemical once again presented Den Hartogh with the coveted Gold Award at their annual 4-Star event, acknowledging our outstanding performance across safety, social responsibility, sustainability, and service. Additionally, Swedish customer Fuchs awarded us the Fuchs EMEA Sustainability Award for our collaborative efforts, including deploying three new electric trucks for bulk transport. These accolades reflect the trust our customers place in Den Hartogh and motivate us to continue raising the bar.
Mission Planner Implementation
The rollout of the Mission Planner system across all European trucks improved driver communication and workflow accuracy. Positive feedback from both drivers and planners underscores its success in enhancing day-to-day operations.
